For the third consecutive weekend, Praga South Africa will be on track and fighting hard for podium honours. Zwartkops Kart Circuit is the place to be on Saturday 4 May 2019, as the team take on the third round of the Northern Regions Rotax Max championship.
Troy van der Laan has finished every Bambino race on the podium and has his eyes set on another race win. He currently lies, comfortably, in second place in the championship standings.
Micro Max is definitely the category to watch, with some brilliant racing coming out of this class. Praga will be hoping to be front and centre, with a very strong driver line-up.
Mohammed Moerat will be leading the charge and is hoping to continue his full house of wins. His current tally is six out of six, which has given him an 8 point championship lead.
Kyle Beukes is third in the points and has three podium finishes to his name. He will be driving his heart out, but will need to be cautious of teammate, Erich Heystek.
Erich is marginally behind Kyle in the championship standings and has finished on the third step of the podium twice this season. He will be chasing down that second place spot and aiming to close the point’s gap to Kyle.
Caleb Cotterell will round out Praga’s Micro Max entries. He is sixth in the championship but will be focused on capturing that elusive podium finish.
Taya van der Laan is feeling confident of a good showing in Mini Max. The talented young lady arrives at Zwartkops with some brilliant national results under her belt and will be hoping that her good form continues.
Godfrey Malumane will be back in action in Junior Max. He still has some work to do in the class, but improves with every outing.
Dane van Heerde is having a great season in Senior Max and has finished on the podium in every Northern Regions race this year. He will be looking to continue this success and improve on his third place standing in the points log.
After missing the last round, Carlo Olivier will be happy to be back behind the wheel in DD2. Carlo achieved a fourth place finish in one of the heats earlier this year, so has the potential for some great results.
