It is time for the Africa Cup. A winner takes all Rotax Max event, where the prize is a ticket to the International Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Napoli later this year.
The Africa Cup will be taking place at the Vaal Kart Circuit this weekend (7 July 2019) and Praga South Africa will be going all out to secure their tickets.
Mohammed Moerat is having a fantastic season and has to be amongst the favourites to win the Micro Max race. He will however have some tough competition in a 16 strong field.
If previous results are anything to go by, Erich Heystek will also be challenging for the Africa Open title and will be racing with the front runners.
Caleb Cotterell will round out the Praga entries in the class and will be hoping to stay out of the bumping and barging that is likely to ensue in this winner takes all weekend.
Godfrey Malumane has entered Mini Max for this event and his experience in the bigger Junior Max kart should give him the upper hand in this very competitive class.
Carlo Olivier will be the team’s final entry and will be taking on the DD2 field. He has earned his place amongst the best drivers in the region and will be hunting some good results.
