PRAGA SOUTH AFRICA READY TO ROK THE VAAL

The first round of the 2019 Northern Regions Rok Cup has finally arrived and Praga South Africa are ready to get down to business at Laserfiche Raceway on Saturday (23 February) with a 14 strong entry list.

Kid Rok (formally Micro Rok) will see a total of 6 Praga entries in the 11 kart field. Reigning champion, Luke Hill will be leading the charge, but will need to keep his wits about him as Angelo Barchini and Tyler Repsold look to make a championship charge.

They will be joined by Goran Gruben and Keagan Beaumont who are also ready to take on this robust field.

Grayson van Zummeren will be the team’s final entry as the youngster makes the switch to the brand with a winning instinct.

The action in Mini Rok is going to be nail-biting as 18 youngsters all fight for chequered flag glory. Ashton Repsold and Dean Berner are expected to represent the brand well, whilst some very competitive racing is expected from KC Ensor-Smith and Luke Hill (who is racing in two categories this weekend).

OKJ (previously referred to as MSA Academy) was a particularly exciting class last year. The field seems to have lost some numbers, but the entry list is filled with very fast and competitive drivers. Jarrod Waberski will be mixing it up at the front of the field and barring any bad luck, is expected to be a podium finisher.

The Praga brand will further be bolstered by Aiden Hall and Allessio Angelucci, both of whom will be looking to start off their 2019 campaigns on a high note.

Qualifying will take place on Saturday at 10h00, with racing starting at 11h30.
