There is no rest inside the Praga South Africa camp as the team prepares for back to back high-stakes events. This week, the team are off to Cape Town for the first Rotax Max National of the year.
Troy van der Laan is dressed in blue and ready to take on the Bambino field. The youngster made the trip to Cape Town recently in preparation for this event and walked away with the first place trophy.
Micro Max is going to be a nail biting affair and Praga will field a three kart entry.
Mohammed Moerat is in top form and has claimed all six victories in the Northern Regions Championship this year. He is looking unstoppable and will be eager to put himself to the test at Killarney.
Kyle Beukes has been a consistent podium finisher in the regional championship. He will be up against some strong competition, but he has the confidence he needs to secure some good results.
Caleb Cotterell was just shy of the podium in the overall standings at the last regional event, but his consistency will work in his favour in this forceful class. Caleb has a tendency to pounce on the competition before they even know he is there and will use this to his advantage.
Erich Heystek continues to gain momentum in Micro Max and the experience of participating in a National event, at a completely different circuit will be an exciting one for the young driver. He is definitely a competitor to keep an eye on.
Taya van der Laan also put in a few laps around Killarney recently and is setting some very competitive lap times. After taking home a trophy in the Western Cape regional, she will be focused on a strong set of Mini Max results.
Dane van Heerde took a Northern Regions race win and an overall podium finish in his last Senior Max event and will be in the chase at the front of the field. With a good kart under him and a solid support structure behind him, there is little reason for him not to be excited about his prospects this weekend.
Carlo Olivier will be tackling the mighty DD2 field. He is going to have his work cut out for him, but if his impressive regional results are anything to go by, he may just catch a few seasoned campaigners off guard.
