Praga drivers achieved some good results at the sixth and final round of the Northern Regions Rotax Max Championship held at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday 2 November.
Race day organisers took a decision to combine the Micro and Mini Max fields, as well as the Junior and Senior Max categories for this event.
Erich Heystek had a fantastic day, qualifying on pole position in Mirco Max and winning all three races. He finished 5th in the combined field and definitely ended the season on a high note.
Mohammed Moerat put in a strong performance, setting the 3rd fastest Micro Max lap during qualifying and holding this position to the end of race one. He took second place in both remaining heats and 6th in the combined results.
If it weren’t for heat three, Dane van Heerde would have had a perfect day. He qualified in 3rd place in Senior Max. He made his presence felt during the first race and after some hard driving, came home in the number one spot. Dane finished 2nd in heat two, before things went awry in the final heat, where he ended 9th in the results.
The weekend’s results bode well for the team and the brand heading into 2020.
