PRAGA READY TO SHOW PROWESS AT ZWARTKOPS

After a two month break, the Northern Regions Rok Cup competitors will be on track this weekend (20 July 2019). This time, they are headed to Zwartkops for round four of the championship and Praga are expected to be at the forefront of the action packed racing.

Kid Rok:

Praga will have a huge presence in Kid Rok, with seven entries in the 11 kart field.

Luke Hill is second in the championship, but there is only a three point deficit to get back into the lead. With four wins already to his name this year, Luke is looking strong at the season’s halfway mark.

Reagile Mailula has hit the ground running with brilliant results, claiming five podiums in six races. He is now fourth in the championship with two points to make up before getting into the top three.

Goran Gruben has taken three podium finishes this season and is always in the thick of the action. He is fifth in the championship, but will be focused on ending the weekend on the podium.

Tyler Repsold and Angelo Brachini are seventh and eighth in the point’s table and are likely to be racing each other for position. If the previous event is anything to go by, there is going to be some exciting racing between these two young drivers.

Keagan Beaumont is another front runner who will be looking to claim a podium finish. He is 10th in the championship after some bad luck at the last round and will be looking to make amends.

This will be Troy van der Laan’s second Kid Rok race and there is no doubt he will be fully up to speed in the class this weekend.

Mini Rok:

KC Ensor-Smith has taken three Mini Rok wins this season and is currently in third place in the championship. He will be hoping to add another win or two to his tally as he closes in on the leaders. There are only seven points separating second and fourth.

Luke Hill is enjoying Mini Rok and the challenges of the bigger kart. As young as he is, he is ninth in the overall standings, but more importantly, he leads the under 10 division.

Ashton Repsold had his best results at the last race and now finds himself in 13th place in the championship. A good point’s haul could easily elevate him to 11th, with the goal being to make it into the top ten.

Dean Berner will be back in action after missing the last two rounds. It may take him some time to get back on pace, but he will be looking to make the most of his track time.

OKJ:

After some very close calls, Jarrod Waberski took his first win of the season at the last race. This has elevated him into fourth place in the point’s standings. He will have his sights firmly set on another race win this weekend.

Alessio Angelucci has put in some consistent results and is 11th in the championship. He needs to make up four points to get into the top 10 and this will be his goal on Saturday.

Ayden Hall continues to test the boundaries as he becomes faster and more confident in his kart and in the very competitive OKJ class. He is 13th in the points, but will undoubtedly make up some places before the year is out.

Taya van der Laan is back and with one event out of the way, will be ready to take on the boys at Zwartkops, a track that she is very fast and competitive at.

125GP:

There will be three Praga entries in the highly contested 125GP field.

Jaco Nel and David Hollis will be joined by Sebastian Lanzetti. The progress of the drivers and the Praga chassis in the class is being watch with great interest.
